Cross-country tracks are in good, tracks are wide and there is a suitable tracks for all levels of fitness. Taivalvaara ski stadium is one of the best in Finland, hosting several ski competitions every winter. There are a total of fifty kilometers to ski in the network of slopes, of which there are nine kilometers of lighted slopes.
There are two winter outdoor trails in the immediate vicinity of Taivalvaara. On the routes, you can enjoy the peaceful landscapes of Taivalkoski's snowy pine trees. You can move on the trails by bike, on foot, or on snowshoes. Dogs are also welcome on the trails.
